This collection of drawings were made by me back in 1972 when I was a new mom with my first baby. I was blessed with an abundant milk supply and was active in La Leche League for many years. I had also taken a few art classes during my college years and have always loved to draw. A friend who knew about my interest in drawing urged me then to do some pictures of nursing mothers. After many years with these hidden away I recently found them and now wish to share them on my website.
None of these were done from an actual model, just from my own visual ideas, undoubtedly drawn from my past experiences of sketching with live models.
Please feel free to use any or all of these in any material that encourages and teaches breastfeeding and other gentle mothering practices. Of course, do give me the credit as the artist and contact me before using them.
Joy and peace in parenting and in life. – Rosemary
